Overview

We're looking for someone with solid Salesforce development experience and an analytical mindset to design customer management solutions for the next generation of British Gas products and work with the development teams to get them delivered. This role will work in the 'British Gas Technology' business unit and cover Salesforce development primarily for the 'Hive' brand but may extend into other brands in the British Gas and Centrica portfolio.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for the solution architecture of Salesforce.com across Sales, Service, and Marketing domains.

  • Create and document end to end solutions to ensure clear 'big picture' representation of technology solutions, and work with Product Owners to break down into a constant flow of user stories into relevant backlogs

  • Work with an internal Salesforce development capability to deliver solutions

  • Ensure the Customer Platform portfolio across Sales, Service, and Marketing is delivered in line with stakeholder expectations via best-in-class technical solutions

  • Set expectations effectively so business and technology stakeholders are on the same page

    You are going to do this
    Activities:
    In the Flying Squad as work planner:
    • Under the direction of the Area Superintendent, prepare the full campaign outreach of the treating centers, which will be supervised during a planned campaign intervention
    In the Flying Squad, on and offshore installations:
    • Occupies the local control room and centrally directs the team to solve technical problems with the installation
    • Ensures the position of the Commander of the Emergency Response Team on the presence installation
    • Validates work permits for all work carried out on the installation under his / her responsibility
    • Liaises with the onshore organization to ensure appropriate reporting and support requests for the intervention involved
    • Ensures good communication with the CCNR during each intervention / campaign
    In the CCNR:
    • Actively monitors all client assets centrally from the ICSS
    • Analyzes trends and behavior at an early stage to identify potential technical failures early and correct them remotely
    • Monitors sales 24/7 and ensures product sales are in line with budget
    • Liaises with the Business team to buy any additional gas from the spot market in case of under-delivery
    Context and Environment
    In the Client Full Intervention Mode concept, the FIM_SPT role combines the leading role of the Flying Squad with the position of Senior Panel Operator in the Central Control Room.
    The role is fulfilled alternately and according to an irregular schedule
    Based in the role of Flying Squad Leader, prepare the campaign-based intervention for the client's treating centers, assist the Area Superintendents or, in the event of operational upset, assume the Flying Squad's leadership role during an offshore intervention
    This position works for 2 weeks during office hours and is available 24/7
    Established employees in the position of the CCNR function work in 3 shifts (morning-afternoon-night-shift) 8 hours according to shift work pattern
    Work 6 days in the CCR - starting with 2-day shift and followed with 2 afternoon shift and ended with 2 night shift and 6 days off, this schedule is repeated 7 times
    After CCR schedule you start with 2 weeks offshore or 2 weeks work preparation with stand-by at the weekend - 16 days leave after 2 weeks offshore or onshore
    What we ask for
    • MBO diploma, or equivalent in relevant technical discipline
    • 10 years of experience in the industry, of which at least 5 years in a responsible role
    • You are a team player, you have an eye for safety, you are flexible and you have a great sense of responsibility.
    • Fluent in the English and Dutch language
    • You are medically fit due to offshore inspection

• Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of the High-Performance Computing (HPC) platform is suitable for the business requirements.

Our client is currently looking for a well-established Site Manager to work on a £24million Data Centre near North Acton. The Groundwork package has just started with at least 50 weeks remaining on the project.

This would suit someone who has a solid construction site background, able to work on their own initiative who can report directly to the Senior Project Manager. You will be spending 80% of your time-on-site and the other 20% doing the paperwork side of site management. Data Centre experience is not crucial but would be an advantage.

Our client has extensive growth plans over the next 2-3 years and has many other similar projects at the tender stage, so after this project has finished, you will be given the opportunity to progress into a Project Management role on future projects.


The role of the Site Manager


Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensure successful delivery of a variety of planned works on budget, time in a safe manner and fully in accordance with the company policy and procedures.

  • Managing a team of Site & Project Managers within the company and motivating other members of staff.

  • Managing Contractors and direct operatives, enduring planned works are completing on time and within budget whilst minimizing disruption to residents and the public.

  • You will work closely with the supply chain and client and provide high-quality technical expertise on all construction matters.

  • Keeping fully up to date with the latest Health & Safety regulation


To be successful as a Site Manager, you will need to possess the following:

  • Strong track record as a Senior Site Manager at a reputable Main Contractor.

  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within the agreed budget

  • Be extremely process-driven and results-focused.

  • Able to manage and motivate a team and deal with any on-site issues.
