The Cloud Support Engineer – AWS Role:

If you are a true believer of cloud, have an enormous appetite to learn and like the idea of joining the "AMG" consultancy division in one of the fastest growing modern cloud distribution platforms – this is your chance.

You’ll be an influential voice in the support team championing the support experience for our clients. You’ll be a leader by behaviour (not by title), super collaborative and a sharer of support issue learning and discovery.

You’ll be working alongside engineers, solutions architects and subject matter experts who make the adoption of cloud technologies easier and who operate at the leading edge of cloud technology.

What sort of technologies will you be exposed to?

+ Trouble-shooting and in-life support for customer solutions on AWS

+ Using automation frameworks such as Ansible, Cloud Formation, Circle CI

+ Operating server-side for escalations on newer technologies, websites, webapps, MySQL

+ Making use of scripting languages for automation including BASH, PowerShell, Python

Position Requirements:

Your Day to Day in this role includes:?

+ Incident response and in-life support

+ AWS infrastructure resource management

+ Assisting with go-live and troubleshooting in new client environments

+ Feeding back on build approaches to Solutions Architects and Subject Matter

+ Contributing to new ideas for improving and maintaining a growing support department

Your Career Progression route could take you to the following roles:

With access to our award-winning University PLUS born in the cloud mentors and vendors feeding your development, you’ll be entering an “all you can eat” training environment. Our engineers have dedicated time each week to hone their skills and we have dynamic career progression paths to cater to every personal development aspiration.

You'll be ideal for us if you:

+ Have experience in a digital agency or hosting or MSP environment

+ Have 2 – 3 years background as a SysOps or SysAdmin engineer

+ Have had previous exposure to web build or webstack technology environments

+ Are within 60 minutes reach of Farnborough

+ Are excited to work in a multi-cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GoogleCloud)

+ Have experience within infrastructure support (Linux, VMware, Powershell)

+ Enjoy ownership and autonomy in problem solving

+ Like working in a tier-less support structure and collaborating with colleagues

+ Thrive on variety and resolving multiple challenges within a single support ticket

+ Are motivated to delight customers by owning and resolving issues
