SAP (BW) Systems Analyst - London £75k

Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a market leading insurance company for a BW System Analyst.

The role:
• Working with the business to understand and document requirements
• Acting as an SME on SAP & Data reprint across ECC, BOBJ, BW, SAP Analytics Cloud for advice and best practice
• Analysing data structures to develop CDS views to support BW models
• Creation and ownership of functional and technical specifications
• Work closely with SAP project teams and third-party suppliers to ensure alignment across the platform
• Undertake some ETL work using Data Services
• Liaising with the Test Team to ensure accuracy in delivery
• Performance tuning and maintenance of HANA views
• Suggesting new initiatives and innovative ideas

Essential requirements:
• BW and/or BW on HANA or B4 experience
• Good understanding of different development practices
• Knowledge and understanding of SAP (ECC) data models and ETL to SAP Reporting Platforms
• Working with 3rd party Development Partners to spec work and manage deliverables
• Ability to work and communicate with Business Colleagues to define business and data requirements
• Knowledge of SAP Reporting Technology [ERP] and/or other application/s
• Specialism in at least one of the following BW, BOBJ or SAP Analytics Cloud
• Understanding of modeling concepts including CDS Analytic Views, Attribute Views, Hierarchies, Creating Restricted & Calculated Columns, Filter Operations, Variables, Calculation Views, SAP HANA SQL, SQL Script/Procedures and Currency Conversion
• Proven experience of working with third parties to deliver solutions acting in an analyst and developer capacity
• Able to work on own initiative to work with business users to understand business processes and translate these into requirements

International Manufacturer based in Bedfordshire seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer, with an electrical bias and some mechanical experience.

About the role:

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to support our production team with a proactive service to enable the production lines to run safely and efficiently. Improving productivity by reducing downtime through the robust implementation of plant maintenance and continuous improvements. High regard for operating in a health and safety-conscious environment.

Duties may include:

  • Working closely with the Production teams to reduce downtime and optimize production at the two production sites.

  • Adhering to set maintenance schedules and procedures, the ethos of PPM.

  • Responding to machinery breakdowns in a timely manner.

  • Implementing requests for improvement and preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Making recommendations to reduce costs, reduce downtime and improve health & safety.

  • Liaising and supervision of visiting outside contractors, surveyors, etc. as required.

  • Completing necessary administration duties, written and PC-based both pre and post-maintenance tasks.

  • Participation in project work.

  • Undertaking site and facilities maintenance activities as well as supporting the production facility.

  • Carry out all work in accordance to Health and Safety management system. Adhering to the procedures and participating in audits if required.

  • Supervision of onsite contractors, ensuring agreed risk assessments and method statements are adhered to.

  • Occasional foreign travel.

  • Any other reasonable task as requested by a Manager.

Skills and experience:

  • Rounded engineer with an electrical Bias.

  • Apprentice trained.

  • Knowledge & experience of hydraulic & pneumatic systems.

  • Welding experience, Mig, Tig & MMA Welding.

  • Computer literate; particularly with MS Word and Excel.

  • Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised.

  • Compliant with Health & Safety requirements.

  • Able to work in time-critical environments.

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing facility where a timely response is essential.

  • Full UK driving license.

  • Experience of Milling and Turning.

  • PLCs (Siemens Micromaster).

  • Experience of working in TPM or PPM.

  • Counterbalance fork-lift license.

  • IPAF powered access permit.

Hours of Work:

  • 5 hours p/wk currently on a two-shift system covering 05:00 to midnight Monday - Friday. However, the candidate needs to be able to cover any shift if required given reasonable notice.

  • Saturday's worked as overtime as required, typically c.2 per month.

  • Sunday's - infrequent but as required by shutdown and PPM schedule.

Key Accountabilities

Maintenance of the UK and Ireland Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Ensuring that local quality release of batches of a medicinal product for the UK & Ireland markets is performed in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Global and Local Quality principles, standards, policies, and SOPs

  • Track operational Quality and Compliance

  • Issuance of all documents used within the QMS, including maintenance and control of local SOPs, including alerting SOP owners of SOP review dates, tracking updates to the SOPs, performance of gap assessments between global and local procedures in a timely manner

  • Author, review, and approve SOPs as required

  • In cooperation with other team members, prepare periodic Quality reports

  • Review, process, track and close out Change Controls/Deviations/Risk Assessments, including liaising with relevant Heads of Department to perform root cause analysis and to discuss and agree on CAPAs

  • Support and facilitate the roll-out of Global Electronic Document/Learning/Quality Management Systems as required by the business

  • Ensure all personnel receives the necessary training via the e-learning systems and that training delivered follows Global standards:

  • Ensure training matrix is in place for relevant staff with responsibilities defined within the QMS and documented appropriately

  • Assist with the performance of Quality inductions for all new starters

  • Assign relevant SOP training to all staff (including service providers) and ensure that training records are kept using the e-learning system

Education, Skill, and Experience

  • BSc in a scientific discipline.

  • Experiences working in a quality department or with managing quality-related documentation (such as standard operating procedures) in another related function, such as Pharmacovigilance, Compliance or Finance

  • Experience of writing and updating SOPs with clarity, accuracy, and rigor

  • Knowledge of GDP requirements

  • Experience of working within electronic quality and document management systems

  • Experience of working with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.

  • Computer literate, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word/Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Can effectively prioritise and manage multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Appreciates and advocates the importance of being compliant and maintaining compliance records
